Plare

Help

The step by step for every tool, for the Copilot and for the settings windows — written from the application itself.

Guides

  • Plare Copilot — Ask in plain language for what you would draw by hand: the Copilot runs real commands in the project.
  • Interface and shortcuts — Where each piece of Plare sits, what each one shows and which key triggers it.
  • Preferences — The four tabs of Preferences: shortcuts, general, screen and AI — and where each choice is stored.
  • Settings windows — The windows that configure one object: wall, door, window, slab, style library, types, display and the sheet.
  • Sheet and title block — Assembling the sheet — format, scale, margin, border and title block — and sending it to paper or to PDF.
  • Select — Select elements to move, edit or delete.
  • Pan view — Drag the viewport without touching the geometry.
  • Measure — Doesn't draw yet. Measure distances and angles, without storing the result.

Creating elements

  • Wall — Draw walls in a chain, with a free or exact length.
  • Image — Insert a reference image over the drawing.
  • Door — Cut a door into the span of a wall already drawn.
  • Window — Cut a window into the span of a wall already drawn.
  • Slab — Draw the slab of a room by clicking its corners.
  • Roof — Draw the roof — the slab gesture, plus the pitch.
  • Column — Place columns at the point you click.
  • Beam — Connect two supports with a beam.

Modifying

  • Rotate — Rotate the selection — drag or type the angle.
  • Scale — Doesn't draw yet. Resize the selection proportionally.
  • Push/Pull — Doesn't draw yet. Extrude a face to create depth.
  • Offset — Doesn't draw yet. Create a parallel copy of a line or wall.
  • Eraser — Doesn't draw yet. Delete elements from the drawing.
  • Group — Doesn't draw yet. Join elements into a single movable unit.
  • Component — Doesn't draw yet. Create a reusable group — change one, change them all.

Annotation

  • Dimension — Annotate distances, with the ends anchored to the geometry.
  • Text — Doesn't draw yet. Add text to the drawing.
  • Paint — Doesn't draw yet. Apply materials to the elements of the drawing.
