Technical drawing, without ceremony

Plare started from a simple irritation: the same wall drawn three times, in three programs, because none of them stored what the wall was.

Why this exists

Anyone who draws plans spends the day repeating work. The wall is raised in plan, dimensioned on the sheet and rebuilt in 3D — and when someone asks for it to move 40 cm, the three drawings stop agreeing. A drawing is a photograph of the project; the project is something else.

Plare stores the project. A wall has thickness, height, layers and openings; a dimension is pinned to corners and axes, not to loose coordinates. Plan and perspective read the same model at the same time, so moving a wall is not a synchronisation task — it is just moving the wall.

The team is small and writes what the program does, not what it wishes it did — what does not draw yet shows up greyed out in the menu, saying “soon”.

What we believe

Three decisions that explain almost everything else — what the program does, what it stores and how it behaves.

  1. The model is the truth

Nothing is generated from the drawing. Plan, perspective, areas and sheet are four readings of the same data — which is why they cannot disagree.

  2. The project is yours

`.plare` is stored on your disk and opens without the app. There is no closed format and no account required to open what you drew.

  3. One tool at a time

Real keyboard shortcuts and menus that do not move around. People coming from AutoCAD find the tools where they always were; people who never drew get the Copilot for the first line.

There are no offices to visit — this is the door. News lands on the blog first.

Draw your first project

A tool that treats the plan like a technical document, and a Copilot that gets the tedious part of drawing it out of the way.
